  • Organised a National Workshop on "Extension Strategies in Urban Pest/Vector Management" for Senior Executives of major Municipal Corporations in India.

  • Developing Qualification Packs with 15 National Occupational Standards in 8 streams of Structural Pest and Vector Management for Employable Skill Development Training programs through National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj to provide qualified Pest/Vector Management Professionals at National level

  • Involved in working out Standard Operation Procedures for rodent management in different sectors

  • Currently in 44th Year of Experience in       Vertebrate Pest Ecology and Management

  • Involved in developing rodent management technologies based on their ecology in different cropping systems and urban areas

  • Planned and monitored community level rodent control campaigns in 69.43 lakh hectares in Andhra pradesh State from 2003 till 2012 with cost benefit ratio of 1:133.

  • Extending Technical Guidance to ICAR All India Network Project on Various aspects of Vertebrate Pest Management

  • Extending Consultancy for the prevention of Zoonotic diseases through Vector control

D   Standardization of wheat Rodent Damage                         Evaluation of Tom Cat Process of Fumigation

 

  • Published 62 papers including research papers, review articles, brochures and 5 chapters in  books on vertebrate pest management, especially rodent

  • Submitted 15 Technical Reports to Government of India on various aspects of rodent pest problems and their management

  • Produced 20 Training Manuals on Rodent Pest Management with art of technology for the benefit of various States/UTs.

  • Guided students for their research on wild animals, birds and rodents for their role in agriculture and ecological management.. Also produced 3 Ph.D students on topics of extension importance for integrated rodent management. In addition, guided about 100 students for adoptive research on rodent pest management to fulfill the requirement for the award of Post Graduate Diploma in Plant Protection.

  • Organized 4 All India Workshops in rodent/vertebrate pest management for rationalizing recommendations on rodent/vertebrate pest management for adoption by the State Governments in the country

  • Organized National Workshop on "Current Scenario of Rodenticides and their Future Outlook" on 21-22 February, 2014 involving executives and scientists from Pesticide, Pest management, Poultry industries, ICAR Rodent Research Project, State Agricultural Universities and Central Insecticides Board.

  • Expert for (i) Evaluation of Research Projects and (ii) Referee for National and International Journals on Plant Protection Technology
